For years my momma's been at me to lose some extra pounds. To shape up, slim down and look like the pageant queen she'd always wished me to be. But everyone knows the best part of the muffin is the top – and baby, I'm delicious as I am.

I hadn't planned on running into my high school crush at a Halloween party while dressed as a cupcake. One glance and I was ready for my high school crush to take a bite. Pity Sheriff Tristan Rodriguez avoided baked goods like the plague...

Returning to the small town I'd left behind hadn't exactly been in my life plan. Also not on the plan? Becoming the town's most eligible bachelor. I now had more offers for baked goods and home cooked dinners than I'd ever need. I hadn't been tempted to taste even one until I ran into my high school crush, Honey Jameson. The curvy siren looked good enough to eat.

Now she's on my mind and all I can think about is how to get one little lick. But the thing is, after one taste? I want to devour her whole.

Warning: This marshmallow-y piece of cotton candy sexiness involves a good boy ready to go bad, a curvy woman loving her body, and a fulfilling of some high school wet dreams. Get thee a good guy (or a bad one), maybe a rich chocolate muffin or three and settle in – this second-chance story will literally burn your sheets.
This was another short novella that was a fun read. I've never read anything from this author before, but she tends to do novellas and a lot of them feature curvy women.

Hi, I’m Celestine Woods, most people call me Chellie. If you are one of my 850K followers, you might know me as the super successful Instagram influencer, but more than likely you probably know me as the woman who got dumped by her former rockstar boyfriend, who then publicly professed his love for his new girlfriend in a song on Spotify before getting engaged a week later.

While I think I had a perfectly rational response to this news but my sponsors didn’t agree. Apparently no one wants to buy expensive skin cream from the woman who had an alcohol-fueled meltdown at the biggest New Year’s Eve party in the world.

Now, I’m at Black Bear Mountain Lodges, a cabin resort in the Catskill Mountains, to relax, recharge, and rehab my image and— tossing in a couple sponsored posts. The only hitch in my plan for R&R is the sexy, yet grumpy, lumberjack who runs the resort. His people skills leave a lot to be desired and it’s no wonder I’m the only guest at this place.

I know nothing about living in the mountains and he knows nothing about marketing and publicity. His resort and my image could both use a little TLC, so we formed a truce and teamed up to help each other.

Between my social media know-how, my smartphone, a gorgeous grumpy mountain man and a strangely friendly bear that keeps coming to my window every night, we can get this all turned around right?

Who’s ready for project #ChellieInTheWoods?

A disgraced Instagram influencer uses a mountain retreat in an attempt to rehab her image with the help of a grumpy lumberjack, who is more than he appears to be.

This novelette has NO cheating and is a standalone, contemporary shifter romantic comedy full of alphas, steam, and sarcasm.

This was my first book I read by Lucy Eden, also my first shifter romance (unless you count Mercy Thompson). I also think this was my first book that had someone who was an influencer. It felt really modern, and was interesting to learn how Chellie did her job.

his NHL star isn’t afraid to play dirty to get his girl

It started as a joke…
A throw away promise between friends.
A dare for a single kiss at our reunion and nothing more.

But that kiss…
That kiss was no joking matter.
It was hot and wet.
A hands-everywhere, breathless kind of insanity that left us both teetering on the brink.

She’s got rules about dating guys like me…
Rules I respect the hell out of when they apply to any other pro athlete.
But as they apply to me? Well, those rules are about to be broken.

I do kind of love the whole forbidden thing when it comes to romance. And I also adore friends to lovers, so this one had two things I love!

Machlin Saddler.
Uber asshole, real estate mogul, sexy as hell and CEO of Saddler Enterprises, where I now work. Heartbreaking circumstances thrusts me into motherhood, and on the plane ride home, I break down, kissing a total stranger and the angel offered me a solution; Saddler Enterprises. I've climbed the ladder and worked my ass off for months, and in walks, Adam, our intern. I try to keep things professional but all of a sudden, I start to find him funny and charming. His kiss electrifies me but that's precisely when shit really hits the fan.
Suddenly, I'm on the mysterious Machlin Saddler’s radar. Big, bad CEO that never makes his way to our floor, now makes it his new stomping grounds. He lights my body on fire like no one has before. He's alluring and gorgeous and I'm being pulled in two different directions. Only the new intern isn't who I think he is. He's the perfect stranger from the plane I took to start my new life with Kenzie. The perfect stranger I kissed. The perfect stranger I hate.
Genevieve Langston
The breathtaking woman I haven't been able to keep my mind off of, has been my downfall. I need her like a lion needs prey but I can't screw up the plan. She'll hate me, hell she already does, but the line between love and hate is very, very thin.

I'm a big fan of enemies to lovers, so I was pretty excited to start this one. I liked this one enough, but there were just some things about it that I didn't totally love. I just didn't get why Mac had to be so deceptive with Gen in the beginning about who he was. The setup just felt so weird.

Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth, and he was drafted into the NHL during his first year of college. After five years of deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies across the Continental US and parts of Canada, Miller is ready for a girlfriend. A real girlfriend of the non-bunny variety. One he takes on dates and doesn’t jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.

Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike Alex Waters, center, team captain and all round nice guy—who happens to be dating his step-sister—Miller’s manwhore reputation is well earned, and not blown out of proportion by the media. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about having a girlfriend. But he’s determined to make it happen.

What he doesn’t take into account is the amount of time and effort relationships require, or that constantly letting bunnies take selfies with him to post all over social media isn’t going to win him any points in the boyfriend department. Miller learns—not so quickly—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

I wasn't sure if I was ever going to read this book, because I wasn't too into the first book in the series or the last book, BUT I had an ARC of one of the books in her spin-off series which I LOVED. So I decided to give this author another try. Turns out, I just really didn't like the heroine from the first book.

I've waited years for the perfect girl, yet she was right in front of me all along.

My best friend, Natalie, has been by my side through everything. Leaning on my shoulder, borrowing my sweatshirts…and making my pants too tight when she flashes me that sassy smile that drives me crazy.

But she has no idea about that last part. She doesn't have a clue I've felt this way about her for years.

Until one night after too many cocktails, we fall into bed together.

I'm flirting with my forever…she just doesn't know it yet.

This book is a sexy, slow-burning best-friends-to-lovers romance with a guaranteed HEA and no cheating. Dive in, and get ready to melt for Cam!
Flirting with Forever is a sweet and sexy, best friends to lovers romance book with a lot of "will they or won't they" in there. I do think I can see where the author got inspired to start writing hockey books, because the hero in this one plays hockey (beer league) but still!

The Play By Elle Kennedy

A brand-new standalone novel in the New York Times bestselling Briar U series!

What I learned after last year’s distractions cost my hockey team our entire season? No more screwing up. No more screwing, period. As the new team captain, I need a new philosophy: hockey and school now, women later. Which means that I, Hunter Davenport, am officially going celibate…no matter how hard that makes things.

But there’s nothing in the rulebook that says I can’t be friends with a woman. And I won’t lie—my new classmate Demi Davis is one cool chick. Her smart mouth is hot as hell, and so is the rest of her, but the fact that she’s got a boyfriend eliminates the temptation to touch her.

Except three months into our friendship, Demi is single and looking for a rebound.

And she’s making a play for me.

Avoiding her is impossible. We’re paired up on a yearlong school project, but I’m confident I can resist her. We’d never work, anyway. Our backgrounds are too different, our goals aren’t aligned, and her parents hate my guts.

Hooking up is a very bad idea. Now I just have to convince my body—and my heart.
This is one of those books that I waited impatiently for until it landed on my kindle and I stayed up too late to read it! I really like Elle's books, and I was really excited to see where this one was going.

The Rebels of Gold is the third and final installment of Elise Kova's Loom Saga. Tim Campbell and Erin Moon return for the audiobook version to give us the voices of our main protagonists. I definitely like these two together!

From New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan comes a delicious new standalone romance featuring an accidental Vegas wedding and a totally perfect alpha hero.

Remember that time you accidentally woke up in Vegas married to your hot younger guy friend?

That’s basically my life right now.

Mistakes were made, okay?

He's too young for me. Twenty-three to my thirty. And he's saving himself for the right girl.

Yup. Apparently I've married the last alpha-male virgin on the planet. And my stubborn, oddly traditional, new husband doesn’t want a divorce.

He wants me.

Complicated doesn't even begin to cover it.

Down and Dirty is a sexy romp with a hero you'll melt for and a relatable, sassy heroine you'll love. If you’re a fan of steamy romances with laugh out loud moments, grab yourself a copy– you won’t regret it!

I was a little "meh" on the fourth book in this series. It was fine, but it didn't really pull me in, so I was really excited to read this one and have a different reaction. I really enjoyed this one a lot! I love a good "oops we got married in Vegas story". So I was all in on this one.

The Nighthawks are hockey’s new expansion team. They’re ice hot. And they’re all about the chase.

Christian: They call me a hockey god because I’m a beast on the ice . . . and off. Men want to be me and women just want me. But now that the New York Nighthawks expect me to lead their team to victory, it’s all work and no play. My eyes are on the prize. Until I meet Serena Ellis, a sexy, curvalicious blonde who doesn’t know me from jack. And just like that, I’m hooked.

Serena: I don’t do one-night stands—especially with celebrity jocks who date models. Lots of models. But the god of hockey is a temptation that’s hard for mere mortals to resist. And after the best kiss of my life, I’m ready to throw my one-night stand rule out the window. Except Christian Chase won’t let me. He doesn’t want a one-night stand. He wants it all.
I actually read the second book of this series first, which I really liked! So I went back and read the first one. The couple in this book appeared in the second one, but you can totally read them in the wrong order. I did!

Lexie Winters is on a mission—to lose her good girl image and tempt resident bad boy and professional tattoo artist, Ash Bodry, into her bed. Tired of being treated like his kid sister, it’s past time for her to play dirty. She has her work cut out for her though when it comes to the sinfully sexy yet incredibly frustrating man.

As far as Ash is concerned, Lexie is strictly off limits. Not only are they friends, her dad just happens to be the sheriff, and years ago the man steered Ash away from a life of crime. No way is he repaying that favor by giving into his wicked fantasies of Lexie. But when the little vixen strolls into his tattoo parlor and requests a very naughty piercing, Ash’s honorable intentions are tested to their limits.

Now that Lexie’s hammered the first chink in Ash’s defenses, and he’s sweating bullets, there’s no chance in hell she’s settling for his hands off policy. Even if it means some flirty strip tease action and late night skinny dipping to convince him that this newfound naughty girl will do whatever it takes to get her man.

Warning: This book contains hot tattooed men, good girls gone bad, and sexy times on a beach. Sunscreen and a bucket of ice on standby is highly recommended.

This was a really short read (ONLY 76 PAGES!) so this is going to be a short review, because there is not all that much to say about it.

Professional hockey player Sergei Petrov has had a rough time after the tragic loss of his beloved wife. Playing hockey and taking care of his son are all he has time for; getting traded was not on the agenda. Neither was a sexy, hockey-playing nanny to further complicate things.

Star college athlete Danielle Cloutier may dominate the rink, but off the ice, she’s an amateur. She’s been trying to get rid of her virginity for years, but guys are always intimidated by her strength. That changes when she meets her new boss. Chemistry between them sizzles, hot enough to melt the most frozen of hearts, but Danielle can’t afford to get attached.

Sergei doesn’t know what to do with the beautiful, stubborn woman, but watching her turn his new house into a home gives him a few ideas. Can he come to terms with his feelings before she skates out of his life for good?

This was my first book I read by Kat Mizera, but I don't think it will be my last. I also loved that the heroine in this hockey romance also played hockey! Yay! I love to see that in hockey romance books. It's seriously my catnip.

So much for the American Dream. After twenty years of marriage, successful careers, and two teenage boys, Angie and Mac's relationship dissolves into disappointment and resentment.
Overworked and underappreciated, the toll of their problems fizzles their dream of happily ever after.

Smacked in the face with failure, Steve "Mac" MacKey refuses to give up so easily, and strategizes how to win back his wife. So a plan to confront her by leveraging the boys backfires on him. In the most wonderfully unexpected way.

Angie's misery in marriage is topped only by her misery without Mac. When she confronts Mac in his office, she learns just how fine that line is between lust and anger. And when she thought her husband couldn't care any less about her, he sparked a new fire inside her she didn't know existed . . . that felt so damn good.

Sex may not solve everything, and it's a far cry from making any real changes, or fixing her emotional rollercoaster.
Can they last that ride long enough to save their marriage, or are their rifts and broken promises too deep to cross?
WARNING: Minor Spoiler in this review.

I was drawn to this book because it was about a married couple and a marriage in trouble. I like reading about couples in trouble and overcoming those things. So this one was interesting, but also I felt like Angie over-reacted to their marriage being over TOO quickly. It felt like Mac really wanted to try. They both made mistakes, but that was part of what I liked about it.

Harrison Wynn
Even though I’m the oldest player on the farm team, I’m playing my heart out this year to prove that I have what it takes to play in the NHL.
Everyone expects me to live up to my dying hockey hero dad’s legacy, but my chances are receding every season.
What I need is to focus, but the team’s new yoga instructor is a major distraction; I’ve had my eye on her from the first time we met.
Except she’s not interested—okay, maybe actively disinterested—since I accidentally dumped her into the ocean during our paddleboard yoga class.
How can I prove to her—and to the NHL—that I’m worth taking a chance on?

Arya Ross
Men are the last thing I need in my life.
Yoga is my priority; it helps me center myself and heal my soul.
But I can’t turn down the once-in-a-lifetime offer to be the personal yoga instructor for the local hockey team.
Sure, there are some cute players—including Harrison Wynn, who seemingly won’t take no for an answer, and whose boyish smile and sexy charm are hard to resist.
He seems genuine, and I wonder . . .
Can I put my past behind me to start a future with him?

I will literally read any Kelly Jamieson book at this point, but I do love her hockey romance books. For The Win was another great addition to this series. I don't think you have to read these in order, but because of the health stuff that goes on with one of the family members, I do think it makes sense to do so.
