I don't do a lot of readathons but when Alex, my fellow Flyers fan, talked about this hockey based readathon, Slapshot Readathon, I knew I had to participate somehow. It was created and hosted by Alex and Becca. This readathon runs from October 2nd until October 8th and uses the #SlapshotReadathon.

I'm also going to be a host for reader sprints on Wednesday, October 2nd! So look out for me on twitter about it.

There are a couple reading challenges, but they are not mandatory! The only thing is that the book needs to be about hockey!

I'm going to attempt to the Hat Trick, and read three books and they'll fall under the below categories.

CELLY: Read an anticipated read

Win Big By Kelly Jamieson

This is actually an ARC, as this book doesn't come out until Nov, Jamieson is one of my fave hockey romance writers so I imagine I will devour this one like I do all her other books.

POND/PIPE: A books with a puck, stick or net on the cover

Awk-Weird By Avery Flynn

Look, I like hockey romances, so sue me! This is another Arc but comes out in October! So perfect for hockey season. I can't wait to start it.

SWEATER: Read a book while wearing a hockey related shirt

Cold Day in The Sun By Sara Biren

This is a YA romance, but both the characters play hockey, so I'm pretty excited to read this one!

Will you be joining the readathon?

But also, does rereading my hockey romance WIPs also count?!??

I'm kidding, but seriously that's all I've been doing lately.

Happy Reads Everyone!
