USA TODAY BESTSELLER • Whether it’s a clutch goal or a cocktail, nothing beats “top shelf.” In this novel from the bestselling author of the Heller Brothers Hockey series, a fun-loving jock and an ambitious career woman mix business with pleasure.

Not only is Jared Rupp one of the stars of the NHL’s Chicago Aces, he’s also the owner of the Sin Bin, the after-hours hot spot where the whole team hangs out. Lately, Jared can’t take his eyes off the woman he’s hired to give the Bin a more modern feel: a sexy, sophisticated consultant who has carved out a niche updating drink menus. She’s as passionate about her career as Jared is about hockey—and yet he can’t help wondering what kind of cocktail she really wants.

In her line of work, Sidney Frayne is used to guys hitting on her in bars, but Jared gets her hot enough to burst into flames. When he’s wining and dining her, he’s sophisticated as hell; on the rink, he’s a testosterone-fueled powerhouse. Still, Sidney’s bitter divorce taught her to keep her emotions on ice. With her busy schedule—and Jared’s playboy reputation—she’s not sure she’s ready for a fling. Because if she lets Jared into her bed, she just may have to let him into her heart.
Top Shelf is book three in Kelly Jamieson's Hockey Aces series, which I have been reading and reviewing left and right. Sorry, I am not sorry, because this series is really good. Especially if you like sports romances. If you are looking for a sexy hockey romance series, seriously I recommend Kelly Jamieson for that.

I really liked this idea of a hockey player planning for his future and knowing that a career in the NHL has an end point. I love the idea that Jared Rupp has this sports bar, but he doesn't really know what he is doing with it. It's kind of just his pet project. So it was so funny to me in the beginning when Sidney comes in and tells him that his cocktail menu sucks. HAHA!

Sidney was a really broken character, and we slowly get to see how she hit rock bottom after a bitter divorce into finally finding who she is. Her career path was seriously cool to me, and I think I can relate a little to how she felt in her previous job. Office life can be super tough. She was a really independent and strong-willed character and I really liked that we got to read about a character who suffered through infertility in a romance book. I also loved that her and her best friend will text each other the address of the guy they were going home with. I LOVED that, because that's a way you can stay sexy and not get murdered.

Every time I read a romance novel and the characters are saying to each other, "let's just be friends with benefits, we won't fall in love with each other" I just cackle to myself because you KNOW they are going to fall in love and it's the best. I kind of love these tropes in romance books, and I will never stop gravitating towards them.

There was a little unnecessary drama with one of Jared's exs, which annoyed me, but I guess you have to have some drama in a romance book. I will say that like all of Jamieson's book this one ends in a happy ending, so I was satisfied in the end.
