Deanna Listens is a monthly feature on the first Monday of every month...err sometimes when I remember to do it, I created to showcase some of my favorite podcasts.

I totally am late to post this AGAIN, but dear reader, you should be used to this when it comes to me by now. LOL. So for today, instead of featuring a new podcast, I'm doing something a little different. Awhile back I wrote a Deanna Listens posts about all the reasons why I stop listening to your podcast. Today, I'm talking about the opposite on why I will continue to listen to your podcast.

CONSISTENT SCHEDULE

One thing I really harped on when I talked about reasons I will unsubscribe is not having posted an episode in years. I think it's really important to post if not a lot, but to have a consistent schedule of some sort. Whether that be once a week, or bi-weekly or whatever. Some podcasts I listen to go on hiatus, but I think that is fine too because they are pretty transparent about it.

HUMOR

I use humor as defense mechanism, so I like podcasts that have a touch of humor. From my true crime podcasts to my hockey podcasts. Which is why I love shows like My Favorite Murder, Last Podcast on the Left and Puck Soup. All of these shows have a touch of humor to them that makes me want to continue listening.

GREAT VOICES

When I don't like the voices on the podcast, I'm done! But when I do, you will probably have me listening until the end of time. Narrators that come from radio are great, because they really know how to tell a story, but comedians are great too because they make it fun and interesting.

What are the things you look for in a podcast?
