#TopTenTuesday: Winter Reads

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week's topic is Cozy or Wintry Reads. I feel like half of these are going to be books about hockey, because you know my MO. I'm not sure if i'm actually going to make it to ten books here, but let's try!

You all know my WIP is about hockey and a girl that loves it right? So when I was searching for similar books, this book came across my horizons. I LOVED it, and have really struggled to find a similar book like it.

I'm really glad that Blogging for Books existed for a little bit, because it allowed me to discover RJB with this book! The city of Bulikov feels very Russian to me, and it always read as a very cold both in weather and people place.

I wasn't really a fan of this book, but it's definitely a wintry read, so I'm keeping it on the list. I mean, the kingdom is called The Kingdom of Winter, so you get the idea.

Okay, this one might be cheating a bit, because it feels more like it's wintry just in the name. Although, since this is about Winter and she deals a lot with her ice queen stepmother maybe that's okay.

Part of this book is set in Imperial Russia! In the Winter Palace! So, yes Wintry read for sure, also just a really cool book. One day I will finish this series.

I HAD to include Joe Hill's creepy Christmas story on this listen. It's very wintry, but also creepy AF.

Another book set in Imperial Russia, but also with magic! As someone who was obsessed with The Romanovs as a kid, I ADORED this book.

Viking-esque story that goes into the harsh winter? WINTRY READ! Also, it's really good in my opinion.

I have to include some hockey books, and Animal Media Group Hockey Saint graphic novel and it's sequel Hockey Karma are perfect for this list.

AND another hockey book is on this list. I seriously could have just made this list all hockey books, but I didn't. This one has been on my wishlist for awhile, so I hope I can get it soon.

What books are on your list this week. Also, if you have any other book recommendations about hockey, please send them my way.

Happy Reads Everyone!
