I started blogging about books shortly after I stopped blogging about hockey. The site I was blogging for didn't really appreciate me and I felt like it was more of a chore and I stopped enjoying it. When I starting writing reviews and talking about bookish stuff I found that I really enjoyed that. Sometimes I'm not good at keeping up with my blogging, but I blog when I feel like it and it's been working out for me.
This year I started going to a book club at my local indie. They are actual teens reading YA which makes me feel really old because I'm more than a decade older than them! I've really enjoyed book club because it kind of forces me to read books that I might not have picked up on my own. It's also been really cool because the book shop it is a part of has done a lot of cool events. It was through them that I was able to meet both Stephanie Perkins & Holly Black.
Back in November I also participated in Sci-Fi November.
That was really fun for me because I got to really think about how much I read Sci-fi and I also got to connect with a lot of different bloggers. That wasn't something I had been doing until then. It really helped me to feel more apart of the book blogging community.
I also started participating in Top Ten Tuesday, and I have connected more with different bloggers because of the weekly meme. I don't participate every Tuesday (due to laziness) but I do try to do it on a regular basis.
For the past few months I have steadily increased my interest in graphic novels and audiobooks and I think I have really grown as a book lover and blogger in this past year. Sometimes I don't write as much as I want to but I do want to continue to read and review books as much as possible.
So for my Blogiversary I am also running not one, but TWO giveaways. I will be doing a giveway that is US ONLY and one that is International only (So no US people can enter it). So pay attention. The reason I am doing two is because I do have some ARCs available, but I can't afford to send packages overseas. I didn't want my international people to feel left out!
US ONLY Giveaway:
For the US giveaway you will have the choice of one of the ARCs pictured above OR (NOT BOTH) something from The Book Depository under $25. This could be two books if you find something cheap enough, as long as it is under $25 I don't really care.
US people cannot enter this giveway! Your entries will be deleted if you try to enter both. As for international people, you can pick anything from The Book Depository that is under $25. As long as it is under $25 you might even be able to choose two books. I am totally okay with that!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Just a reminder, please be fair to everyone in the giveaways and do not cheat! I will check and delete entries if I have to. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions! May the force be with you!
Happy Reads Everyone!
